Fun facts for older Zuiko lenses:

  • The first letter of the name of the lens just before the .Zuiko part corresponds with the number of lens elements: E=5, G=7
  • Auto-W, Auto-S and Auto-T stand for Automatic diaphragm Wide-, Standard and Telelens
  • The non Auto- lenses like my E.Zuiko T 250mm have a manual diaphragm
  • Lenses that were made after the introduction of the PEN FT have an extra ‘exposure’ number between 0 and 9 on the diaphragm ring. These numbers were used in combination with the FT’s exposure meter. Note that you can turn this ring so you can use either the exposure meter numbers or the f-numbers (pull and turn).
